Luke Smart is an author an novelist.
He worked on several plot brainstorming sessions for Leela Redux (later the Redux NetMapPak).
In conjunction with Jason Cook and Dafydd Williams, he created the basic plot-lines and cultures for Escape Velocity: Nova, and wrote the Auroran, Pirate and Wild Geese story-lines. Luke also contributed critical input to most of the graphics for the game, and performed sprite compilation for many of the ships.
More recently, Luke assisted in framing several scenes for the EVN Trading Card Game.
Luke has several ideas for future games, and has worked as a copywriter, typesetter, printer and service centre phone operator.
Luke lives in Hobart with his wife Lisa and two children.
